Red Hot Chili Peppers vs Brand New Heavies/Young Disciples
Give Nothin' Away
"Give It Away" Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Apparently Nothin'" Carleen Anderson (Acapella)
You might know "Apparently Nothin'" as a Young Disciples song, as I did. Whilst searching for an acapella version, I discovered that their vocalist Carleen Anderson later became singer with the Brand New Heavies and covered her own song (if that's possible?) This version is an acapella of the Brand New Heavies cover - a quite different vocal to the Young Disciples original. This one is lower and more soulful. Personally, I prefer the original but, hey, you have to take what you can get...!
